Full Job Description

Summary/Objective

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible to provide financial, administrative, and clerical support by ensuring payments are completed and expenses are controlled by receiving payments, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices according to established policies and procedures in an efficient, timely and accurate manner.

Essential Functions

· Perform all aspects of the accounts payable function by matching purchase orders to receivers and invoices and entering the software according to department policies and deadlines. Identify errors or discrepancies and resolve before processing.

· Enter new or update vendor names and data, send W-9 to vendor. Performs filing and copying.

· Review, Enter and Process expense reports and monthly bills.

· Prepare checks, and distribute after checks are signed as required.

· Research and resolve any outstanding balances on accounts, including telephone, mail, or email communications with vendors. Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.

· Assists in monthly closings.

· Maintain a procedure manual of accounts payable tasks as a guide for backup assistance when such assistance becomes necessary.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Experience:
