AUTOMATIC TAPING TOOLS REQUIRED. Bazooka and flat box experience is a hard requirement for this position — please do not apply without it.
We're hiring an experienced drywall finisher. This is a finishing position. You'll be taping, coating, and finishing commercial to a Level 4 and Level 5 standard.
If you run a Bazooka and boxes and take pride in a wall that doesn't need a second look under a light, we want to talk.
AUTOMATIC TAPING SYSTEM — MUST HAVE
You must be proficient with a full automatic finishing system. We will ask you specific questions about these tools in the interview.
- Automatic taper (Bazooka / Ames-style tube): loading, running tape on flats and angles, cutting clean
- Banjo taping tool
- Flat boxes: 7 inch, 10 inch, 12 inch; setting blade pressure and crown for consistent coat thickness
- Angle boxes and angle heads: 2.5 inch and 3 inch
- Corner roller and glazer
- Nail spotter
- Compound pump and loading pump: mixing to the right consistency for each tool, cleaning and maintaining the system
You should also be solid with hand tools: knives, hawk and trowel, corner trowel, mud pan, pole sander, sanding head. Banjo experience is a plus but does not substitute for automatic tools.
