Full Job Description

Role: Structural Engineer

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Tampa, FL

What You Will Do

? Support structural design and documentation for building renovations, additions, and new facilities.

? Perform calculations, assist with structural analysis, and help develop coordinated Revit/BIM models and

drawing sets.

? Prepare clear project documentation, calculations, technical reports, and specifications.

? Collaborate with licensed engineers, architects, civil engineers, geotechnical engineers, and design teams to

solve framing, detailing, and coordination challenges.

? Participate in field measurements, existing-condition investigations, and construction-phase support.

? Assist with review of shop drawings and construction documents to help confirm alignment with design intent

and project requirements.

? Help maintain organized project files, calculations, reports, and technical documentation.

? Grow your software skills, technical confidence, and project awareness through day-to-day mentorship.

What You Will Bring

? Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a closely related field.

? EIT certification preferred; FE-track candidates are encouraged to apply.

? 0-3 years of internship or professional experience in building design.

? Working knowledge of Revit/BIM; exposure to RISA-3D, Enercalc, Mathcad, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation,

Bluebeam, or similar tools is a plus.

? Strong math, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

? Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail in a collaborative environment.

? Curious, coachable, detail-oriented mindset with motivation to build a long-term structural engineering career.

Bonus Qualifications

? Internship experience in architecture, engineering, or construction environment.

? Familiarity with the Florida Building Code.

? Exposure to geotechnical engineering concepts, GIS applications, or finite element analysis tools.

? Strong technical writing skills for reports, specifications, and project documentation.
