Full Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team in Tampa. This position will work with CNC mills, CNC lathes, laser equipment, and other shop machinery used to produce components for customer orders.

Previous machining or manufacturing experience is helpful, but it is not required. We are willing to train someone who is mechanically inclined, dependable, willing to learn, and comfortable working in a hands-on shop environment.

This is an on-site manufacturing position and cannot be performed remotely.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC mills, CNC lathes, laser equipment, and related shop machinery
Load and unload materials, parts, and tooling
Follow job instructions, drawings, measurements, and production requirements
Inspect completed parts for basic quality and accuracy
Learn proper machine setup and operating procedures
Assist with deburring, cleaning, labeling, and organizing completed parts
Pack completed customer orders for shipment or pickup
Maintain a clean and organized shop and warehouse
Assist with receiving, stocking, and moving materials as needed
Follow all company safety procedures
Perform other shop and warehouse duties as assigned

Qualifications

No previous CNC experience is required; training is available
Prior experience with CNC mills, CNC lathes, laser equipment, machining, fabrication, or manufacturing is a plus
Mechanically inclined and comfortable learning how to operate machinery
Able to follow written and verbal instructions
Basic math and measurement skills
Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently after training
Strong attention to detail
Willingness to perform both machine-operating and general shop duties
Forklift certification is a plus but is not required

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

Able to lift and move materials weighing up to 75 pounds
Able to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods throughout an eight-hour shift
Able to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive tasks
Comfortable working around machinery, metal materials, noise, and normal shop conditions
The warehouse and production area are not air-conditioned, so employees must be comfortable working in Florida temperatures

Compensation and Benefits

$18.00–$26.00 per hour, based on relevant experience and demonstrated ability
Paid time off

The ideal candidate does not need to be an experienced machinist. We are looking for someone who shows up on time, works safely, takes pride in their work, and wants to learn a skilled trade. Candidates with warehouse, automotive, mechanical, construction, fabrication, or other hands-on experience are encouraged to apply.
