Southeastern Marine, Yacht Power, and Boca Ciega Marine Center are searching for a high‑trust, high‑performing Marine Operations & Sales Manager who wants to own service and sales operations across multiple marine businesses and locations. This is a role for someone who loves boats, loves the water, and loves building demand.
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated, integrity-driven, and career-oriented Marine Operations & Sales Manager to lead and grow our marine services business. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of Service Operations as well as boats, yachts, marine engines, generators, Seakeeper systems, marine parts, boatyards, yacht management and related marine operations. This individual will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing daily operations, leading high-performing teams, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction across all business segments.
This is a leadership position that requires a hands-on professional who takes personal accountability for business growth, profitability, operational excellence, and maintaining strong industry relationships with customers, dealers, captains, manufacturers, and marine industry partners.
We are open to someone experienced in managing Operations who is passionate about boats/yachts and/or someone who is knowledgeable about boats & yachts but has the natural aptitudes and coachable to lead both daily Sales & Operational responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency, safety, quality, and profitability.
- Manage service department performance, workflow scheduling, technician productivity, and customer communication.
- Ensure service projects are completed on time, within budget, and to company standards.
- Monitor and improve operational processes, procedures, and productivity.
- Coordinate effectively between sales, service, parts, and administrative departments.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction throughout all operational activities.
- Implement best practices that improve customer experience and operational performance.
Sales Leadership & Business Development
Develop and execute strategic plans to drive revenue growth across:
- Marine service operations
- Engine sales
- Generator sales
- Seakeeper sales
- Parts sales
- Repower projects
- Maintenance and support programs
- Lead, coach, and hold accountable all sales and marketing personnel to achieve growth objectives
Establish and maintain strong relationships with:
- Yacht owners
- Captains
- Fleet managers
- Dealers
- Brokerage firms
- Boatyards
- Manufacturers
- Industry partners
Ability to:
- Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and growth initiatives.
- Monitor sales performance through KPIs, reporting, forecasting, and pipeline management.
- Participate in customer meetings, perform technician/field vessel inspections, trade events, and industry networking opportunities.
- Ensure the company maintains a strong reputation for customer service, technical expertise, and professionalism.
Financial & Profitability Management
- Assume ownership and accountability for overall business profitability.
- Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial performance objectives.

Facility & Asset Management
- Ensure all company facilities, equipment, and assets are professionally maintained.
- Oversee facility appearance, cleanliness, organization, and safety standards.
- Coordinate facility improvements, maintenance projects, and operational upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety policies and industry standards.
- Manage company resources efficiently to support productivity and growth.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- Minimum 5-10 years of marine industry experience with natural aptitude and open to coaching to Sales & Operations and/or Sales & Operations experience with a passion for boats & yachts.
- Proven leadership experience managing people, departments, and operations.
- Demonstrated success in sales, business development, and revenue growth.
- Experience managing service operations and technical teams.
- Strong understanding of profit and loss management and budgeting.
