We create new beginnings by providing vital support services that assist parents and children in transitioning to permanent housing, fostering well-being and long-term stability and success.

Our pillars of service guide our vision of a community without homelessness where all families can live and thrive. Prevention reduces homelessness; Emergency Shelter provides immediate housing; Rapid Re-Housing offers rental and utility assistance; and Work for Success helps parents achieve income stability through career paths.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Provide daily supervision of assigned staff across housing, employment services, and coordinated entry to ensure compliance with program policies and procedures, family service planning, record-keeping, and effective follow-up of clients by staff.
Guide staff in providing case management utilizing trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and a strengths-based approach to assist families in reaching their goals and maintaining permanent housing.
Approve new admissions, determine funding source, assist staff with resolution to challenging clients/incidents, mediate client and/or property management issues, recommend the level and duration of financial assistance, facilitate terminations, and serve as a point of contact for client grievances. Provide staff training on various funding source requirements.
Oversee employment services and coordinated entry functions, including monitoring referrals and prioritization, supporting job readiness and placement efforts, ensuring alignment with community standards, and strengthening partnerships with workforce and coordinated entry system partners.
Work collaboratively with housing and support specialists, and employment specialists to connect clients to permanent housing and income opportunities and inspect rental units in accordance with funder requirements.
Evaluate program effectiveness, develop improved methods; manage and track rapid rehousing funds; assist with reporting and administrative tasks related to program management.
Explain, interpret, and apply HUD and other rental assistance programs policies, procedures, and regulations in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Complete processes necessary to ensure client rental and utility assistance is processed and payments are made on time. Ensure timely and accurate data management including case notes, assessments, and data entry into HMIS and other data management systems to meet funder and agency requirements.
Audit client files and electronic records monthly and schedule peer review of client files on a quarterly basis. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and staff-development activities.
Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work evenings and occasional weekends.
There will be frequent travel throughout Hillsborough County.
Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, psychology, or other related fields from an accredited institution required.
Minimum of two years supervisory experience in human services.
Demonstrated sensitivity and ability in working with the diversity of the agency’s population, including but not limited to, clients, staff, community partners, and board of directors.
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. Case management experience preferred.
Knowledge of program/client data tracking systems and Microsoft products.
Ability to interpret and residential lease agreements.
Ability to walk, stand, climb stairs, kneel, bend, reach, and manipulate objects; move materials up to 10 pounds on a regular basis; infrequently require moving materials weighing up to 20 pounds.
Some local travel required. Must have a reliable car, active auto insurance, and valid Florida driver’s license.
Successfully completed a Level 2 criminal background check, motor vehicle records check, and drug screening.
