Family First Adolescent Services is a behavioral health treatment center located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, dedicated to helping adolescent boys (ages 12–18) and their families heal, grow, and reconnect.
Since its founding in 2014, Family First has served as a trusted resource for families navigating complex mental health, behavioral, and substance use challenges. With a trauma-informed, evidence-based approach, we create personalized treatment plans that address both the surface behaviors and deeper root causes affecting each teen.
Our comprehensive care model includes:
Individual, group, and family therapy*, using evidence-based methodologies such as CBT, DBT, and EMDR.

Academic support, ensuring teens stay on track with their education or career readiness while in treatment.

Experiential and holistic therapies, including adventure therapy, equine work, CrossFit, and outdoor activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional wellness.

Continuing care and alumni support, offering follow-up for up to 12 months post-discharge to help maintain progress and resilience.

Regional Director of Outpatient Programs
Position Summary
The Regional Director of Outpatient Programs provides strategic and operational leadership for all outpatient programming, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based, trauma-informed behavioral health services. This position oversees clinical staff, program operations, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, staff development, and interdisciplinary collaboration while supporting positive outcomes for residents and their families.
The Director partners with executive leadership to develop and improve programs, supervises clinical personnel and interns, oversees documentation and clinical operations, coordinates multidisciplinary services, and ensures excellence in resident care throughout the treatment continuum.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership

Provide leadership and oversight for all clinical services and programming.

Hire, supervise, mentor, evaluate, and develop clinical staff, interns, and designated program personnel.

Lead clinical team meetings and participate in organizational leadership meetings.

Foster collaboration among clinical, academic, medical, and administrative departments.

Promote a positive, mission-driven culture emphasizing teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.
Program Operations

Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure quality, consistency, and efficiency.

Coordinate program schedules, therapeutic programming, staff assignments, and client services.

Monitor client admissions, orientation, level of care, treatment progression, discharge planning, and step-down services.

Assist with admissions, waitlist management, and program capacity planning.

Facilitate family communication and support engagement throughout treatment.
Clinical Oversight
Review and approve clinical documentation including:

Biopsychosocial assessments

Treatment plans

Progress notes

Outcome measures

Utilization Review documentation
-
Group and Individual therapy
-
Monitor client treatment progress and ensure appropriate interventions.

Provide consultation regarding clients requiring higher levels of clinical support, including safety and suicide precautions.

Ensure evidence-based clinical practices are consistently implemented.
Quality Assurance & Compliance

Ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards, licensing regulations, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal requirements.

Monitor documentation quality and regulatory compliance.

Develop, implement, and monitor clinical policies, procedures, and standard operating practices.

Lead quality improvement initiatives and program evaluation efforts.

Analyze clinical outcomes and recommend improvements to enhance services.
Staff Development

Provide ongoing clinical supervision, coaching, and professional development.

Coordinate staff education and competency training.

Recruit and supervise graduate-level interns.
-
Maintain relationships with universities and internship programs.
Family & Community Collaboration

Maintain communication with families throughout treatment.

Collaborate with referral sources and community partners.

Support continuity of care and aftercare planning.
Leadership Responsibilities

Participate in strategic planning and organizational growth initiatives.

Develop departmental goals aligned with the organization's mission.

Prepare reports and provide leadership with operational and clinical performance updates.

Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and resident outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
-
Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field required.
Licensure
Current unrestricted licensure in the applicable state as one of the following:

LMHC
-
LCSW
-
LMFT
-
Licensed Psychologist
-
Other equivalent behavioral health license as applicable
Experience
-
Minimum three years of leadership experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, residential treatment, or related human services.

Experience supervising multidisciplinary clinical teams.

Experience with quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and program development preferred.
