Busy Pulmonary & Critical Care Physician Practice – Clearwater, Florida

Our growing Pulmonary & Critical Care physician practice is seeking an experienced Managed Care Contracts & Credentialing Specialist to join our administrative leadership team.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an organized healthcare professional who enjoys working with insurance companies, physicians, hospitals, and practice leadership to maximize provider participation, optimize reimbursement, and ensure optimal contracting terms and timely credentialing for our physicians and advanced practice providers.

Responsibilities Include:

Negotiate, administer, and monitor managed care contracts
Review managed care contract language and forecasting financial performance accordingly
Track payer reimbursement changes, trends, and contract renewals compared to national and regional benchmarks
Analyze contract performance and reimbursement trends
Manage all physician and APP credentialing, recredentialing, and payer enrollment activities
Maintain CAQH, PECOS, NPPES, and all provider enrollment databases
Coordinate Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payer enrollments
Serve as liaison with hospitals, payers, and credentialing organizations
Monitor provider licensure, DEA, board certifications, malpractice coverage, and other compliance requirements
Coordinate onboarding of new physicians and advanced practice providers
Assist leadership with payer strategy and network participation decisions
Maintain organized contract files and reporting dashboards
Collaborate closely with Revenue Cycle, Finance, and Practice Administration

Qualifications

Minimum 3–5 years of physician practice credentialing experience
Experience with managed care contracting strongly preferred
RBRVS methodology experience is essential for success in this role
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and provider enrollment
Experience with CAQH, PECOS, NPPES, Availity, and payer portals
Strong analytical and Excel skills
Excellent organizational and communication skills
