Full Job Description

Tampa Fishing Outfitters is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and dependable Bookkeeper & Inventory Associate to join our back-office team. This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, can effectively manage multiple priorities, and takes pride in accuracy and organization.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and computer skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with team members across multiple store locations.

Responsibilities

· Process vendor invoices and enter bills into Lightspeed, QuickBooks, and Dropbox

· Receive shipments of fishing tackle and accurately enter inventory into Lightspeed Retail

· Maintain precise and organized records of store and office expenses to support financial accuracy

· Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts, physical inventory, and timely follow-up

· Oversee inventory management and ensure accurate, timely reconciliation across systems

· Generate reports, perform data entry, and manage data exports/imports as needed

· Implement pricing updates and accurately apply store pricing rules

· Participate in regular Zoom meetings and communicate with team members across multiple store locations

· Communicate effectively regarding invoices, inventory, pricing, and other back-office matters

· Assist with additional administrative and bookkeeping tasks as needed

Skills & Qualifications

· Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, particularly when working with financial, inventory, and numerical data

· Excellent communication skills across multiple platforms, including email, phone, Zoom, and in-person communication

· Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines

· Good computer skills and the ability to learn and navigate multiple software systems

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; intermediate Excel skills preferred, with a minimum of basic Excel proficiency

· Experience with or willingness to learn QuickBooks, Lightspeed Retail, Dropbox, and other business software

· Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team

· Familiarity with fishing products and related equipment is a plus

· Willingness to learn, adapt to new systems, and expand product and industry knowledge

· Reliable, professional, and committed to maintaining accurate and timely work

· Ability to travel to other locations, including Tarpon, St. Pete, and Lakeland, is a plus but not required
