Full Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly skilled Remote Senior Bookkeeper & Tax Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will manage end-to-end accounting tasks for a portfolio of clients, ensuring clean financial records and preparing seamless data transfers from QuickBooks to final tax returns. This is a remote position requiring daily availability during Eastern Time hours, with a preference for candidates in the Tampa Bay area for occasional optional team/client meetups.

Job Details

Job Type: Part-Time (40 hours/week)
Location: Remote (Tampa Bay, FL area preferred)
Schedule: Flexible (Must be available to work your core hours (4 consecutive core hours) daily within the 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM Eastern Time window) So, if you like to sleep in on certain days, that is fine, start your work day no later than 1PM. (Note: We do have some days that require a morning team meeting. Typically this is once a week.)

Key Responsibilities

Full-Cycle Bookkeeping: Manage Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and monthly account reconciliations with precision in QuickBooks.
Financial Statements: Prepare, analyze, and explain core financial statements including Profit & Loss (P&L), Balance Sheet, and Statement of Cash Flows. Be able to explain these reports to a client.
Tax Preparation & Bridging: Bridge clean client data from QuickBooks directly to tax returns; assist with or complete tax preparation using an active PTIN.
Client Engagement: Confidently lead client review meetings, present financial statements, and communicate insights clearly over Zoom video calls &/or by recording Loom videos.
General Ledger Maintenance: Review journal entries, debits/credits, and maintain clean general ledgers across client accounts.

Qualifications & Requirements

Certifications: Active QuickBooks ProAdvisor / QuickBooks Pro Certification (Required).
Tax Credentials: Active Preparer Tax Identification Number / PTIN (Required).
Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in full-charge bookkeeping, financial reporting, and tax preparation support.
Communication: High comfort level presenting financial data to clients over Zoom.
Schedule & Availability: Must be available to work 4 daily core hours within 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST.
Location: Remote, but based in or near the Tampa Bay, FL area preferred for occasional local meetups.

Pay: $46,000.00 - $53,000.00 per year
