Human Resources Manager – High-Growth Restaurant Group

You must have HR Experience at Restaurants, C-Stores, or Retail Chains.

Location: Tampa Bay, Florida

Job Type: Full-Time

Are you ready to move beyond being one layer in a large corporate HR department and become the HR leader of a rapidly growing restaurant organization?

A successful 23-unit Wingstop franchise group in the Tampa Bay area is seeking an experienced, hands-on Human Resources Manager to lead the HR function across its organization.

This is a highly visible leadership opportunity reporting directly to the CEO. The right person will have the opportunity to build systems, strengthen culture, support field leadership, and grow into a Director-level role as the company continues to expand.

The Opportunity

This position is ideal for an HR professional with the confidence, grit, and experience to take ownership of the entire HR function.

You will work closely with executive leadership, operations leaders, managers, and restaurant teams to create consistent people practices that support growth, retention, compliance, and operational excellence.

This is not a traditional corporate HR role with multiple departments and layers. You will have a seat at the table, direct access to leadership, and the ability to make a measurable impact throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the day-to-day Human Resources function for a multi-unit restaurant organization
Serve as a trusted HR partner to the CEO and senior operations leadership
Support approximately 23 restaurant locations throughout the Tampa Bay market
Develop and improve HR policies, procedures, systems, and best practices
Coach managers on employee relations, performance management, and corrective action
Handle workplace investigations and employee concerns professionally and consistently
Support recruiting, onboarding, retention, and succession-planning initiatives
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
Oversee workers’ compensation, unemployment claims, and leave administration
Partner with payroll and operations to maintain accurate employee records
Track turnover, staffing, retention, and other key people metrics
Strengthen company culture and improve communication across the organization
Support leadership development and management training
Help prepare the HR function for continued organizational growth

What We’re Looking For

Previous Human Resources management experience
Multi-unit restaurant, hospitality, retail, or other high-volume hourly workforce experience strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of employee relations and employment law
Experience conducting workplace investigations
Ability to coach and influence managers at all levels
Strong organizational, communication, and decision-making skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing organization
Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution
High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred
SHRM or HRCI certification is a plus
