Key Responsibilities
The IT Infrastructure & Systems Technician will support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation of technology systems for DSI clients and internal operations.
Responsibilities may include:
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, laptops, servers, network devices, and related IT equipment
- Support LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, internet, firewall, and network connectivity requirements
- Assist with structured cabling, network drops, equipment mounting, and basic infrastructure installation
- Support deployment and maintenance of security systems, including CCTV, access control, and related network-connected devices
- Assist with VoIP and unified communications system installations, troubleshooting, and end-user support
- Provide support for digital signage equipment, media players, displays, and related network connectivity
- Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, network issues, hardware failures, and software-related concerns
- Assist in implementing cybersecurity best practices, including secure configurations, updates, access control, and endpoint protection
- Work with project managers, engineers, vendors, and clients to support project implementation and service delivery
- Document work performed, including service reports, installation notes, configuration details, and as-built information
- Provide professional and responsive technical support to clients onsite, remotely, or by phone
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend practical improvements when appropriate
Qualifications & Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in technology, good troubleshooting skills, and the willingness to learn different systems and platforms.
Minimum qualifications:
- Experience installing, configuring, or troubleshooting Windows computers, laptops, printers, and basic network devices
- Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, routing, switching, and internet connectivity
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems; Windows Server knowledge is a plus
- Ability to assist with physical installation work, including cabling, mounting equipment, and onsite technical support
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and the ability to work professionally with clients and team members
- Willingness to learn new technologies, platforms, and systems
- Ability to follow instructions, document work accurately, and provide timely updates
- Valid Guam driver’s license required
Preferred but Not Required
The following experience or certifications are helpful, but not required:
- CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+
- Microsoft, Cisco, Fortinet, SonicWall, Verkada, 3CX, or other relevant certifications
- Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, firewalls, switches, wireless access points, or cloud platforms
- Experience with CCTV, access control, VoIP phone systems, structured cabling, or digital signage systems
- Prior experience supporting business, government, or enterprise IT environments
