Full Job Description

THE JOB BASICS:

Colleyville Law Firm has one position available for Paralegal/legal assistant help. Bilingual Spanish is preferred, but Spanish is not a requirement. Full time is M- F, 8:00 - 5:00.

The job consists of meeting/greeting clients, answering the phones, data entry, and filing.

Typing skills are a must.

You should have a pleasant phone voice, as most of our business is done over the telephone.

OUTGOING PERSONALITY:

You must be customer service oriented. I heard another attorney say, "people do not call lawyers when they are happy and in a good mood. They call when they have a problem and they are frustrated." It is essental that the person I hire be calm and collected when dealing with our clients. You cannot allow their personal problems to have an impact on your demeanor. If you are not the type of person that can deal with frustrated people, then this is not the job for you. However, if you like to help people and you can maintain a pleasant disposition then you are the person I want to hire.

WHAT WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR:

Smokers need not apply. We do not take smoking breaks and we do not tolerate employees smelling like smoke. If your personal life is full of drama please do not apply. You will only be wasting your time and ours.

EXPECTATIONS:

Once hired, all employees are expected to be at work on time and work throughout the the day without interuptions from outside the workplace. I expect all employees to be self motivated. That means we always have things to do in the office. If you are the type of person that will just sit there until you are told what to do, this is not the job for you. I love people that are self starters. I appreciate their work ethic. I currently have a great team and I am looking to expand.

All employees are expected to have a valid Texas Driver's License, their own car, and valid insurance for that vehicle.

We are open M -F during normal business hours.

REQUIREMENTS:

The basic qualifications are as follows:

You can spell and type;

You are friendly;

You have a pleasant phone voice; and

You are self motivated.

FINAL NOTES:

This is an ENTRY LEVEL POSITION. The job has a starting pay of $15.00 per hour during the training period. Once the training period has ended the pay will increase to include bonuses. Show us that you can handle the phone traffic quickly, efficiently, and professionally and you will soon be making a higher wage. The expected annual income for this job is $40,000 - $45,000.
