Believe Psychology Group, Inc. is a private practice that offers therapeutic services that promote Healing, Personal Growth, and Empowerment. We offer individual, group, and family strength-based therapy services for clients of all ages and specialize in working with clients from diverse backgrounds. We utilize an expansive array of interpersonal and evidence-based interventions (e.g., Psychodynamic, CBT, DBT, Humanistic, Trauma-Focused, and Positive Psychology). Our clientele includes high-functioning private-pay adults and insurance-paid clients with varied socio-economic statuses.
About You
You are a doctoral-level unlicensed psychologist who is eligible as a Psychological Assistant through the California Board of Psychology. You have training and experience in treating anxiety, depression, and/or struggles common to young adults. You enjoy working with diverse clients from various ethnic communities and special populations such as African Americans, Latinos, working-class individuals, and young adults.
Your therapeutic style is compassionate, multicultural, culturally sensitive, confident, and strength-based. You are looking to join a team of professionals and grow with an innovative company.
Your clinical competencies may include working with anxiety, depression, school-related stress, adulting, grief, racial identity, LGBTQ+, self-esteem, trauma, and ADHD-related concerns. The role also includes conducting ADHD screenings and assessments as appropriate within the scope of practice and under appropriate clinical supervision.
You would describe yourself as warm, compassionate, and easy to gain rapport with clients. You have a commitment to professional development and a growth-mindset approach to learning.
Preferred if you are or have been credentialed with Carelon, Aetna, or United Health Care.
Room for advancement into a licensed psychologist role with increased pay.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide therapy sessions (state your preference for in-person or online at hire). Flexible to meet the needs of the client.
- Conduct clinical intake assessments and ADHD screenings and assessments as appropriate and within the scope of supervised practice.
- Develop therapeutic and treatment plans based on clients' interests, abilities, or needs.
- Maintain ethical and complete client records. Submit required documentation in a timely manner.
- Keep accurate and honest records of services rendered.
- Maintain professional relationships with co-workers and clients.
- Identify and communicate potential client risks while effectively managing concerns or conflicts. Consult with the team as needed.
- Respond to email correspondence in a timely and professional manner.
- Be listed on client matching sites (e.g., Psychology Today, TherapyDen, etc.) if interested in private-pay clients.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support client care.
Qualifications
- Doctoral Degree in Psychology (Degree conferred)
- Eligible as a Psychological Assistant through the California Board of Psychology
- 1 year minimum providing culturally sensitive clinical services
- 1 year minimum providing strength-based therapeutic services
- Experience conducting ADHD screenings and/or assessments

Our Location
Our office is located in Downtown Los Angeles at 633 W. 5th St., Fl 26, Los Angeles, CA 90071. Clinicians can come into the office and use the space to conduct sessions or work remotely.
