Full Job Description

Chef Cordelia Catering is looking for seasonal event cooks with an emphasis on prep & plating to support the Executive Chef, Chef Tiffany Sewell, in executing back of house operations for both on-site and off-site catering events.

The ideal candidates will have a minimum of two years of fine dining and catering experience.

The position includes but is not limited to:

· Prepping and execution of events

· Plating dishes with an emphasis on aesthetic and plate composition

· Assisting the Chef and First Cook

· Ensuring Health Department standards are being followed (FIFO, cleanliness, sanitation)

· Organizing fridge and dry storage according to FIFO

· Keeping storage rooms organized, safe and have awareness of all items

· Reporting any equipment damage

· Lifting up to 50 lbs

· Standing for over 10+ hours

· Suggesting new procedures for productivity and efficiency

· Days, nights, weekends and some Holidays

· Opportunity for growth

· Minimum 3 days per week including weekends

· Professional language and communication skills required

Serve-Safe Certified, strong knife skills, strong plating composition skills, passionate and excited about food, strong time management, strong team player, ability and willingness to learn and grow, highly organized, prioritizes impeccable cleanliness, professional demeanor, strong communication, positive under pressure

Chef Cordelia began catering events in Los Angeles in 2007. Since then we have grown steadily and organically, expanding our client and venue roster. In 2016 we secured an exclusive contract with the Malibou Lake Mountain Club, and took over management of their event space, re-conceptualizing it as The Lodge at Malibou Lake.
