Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service through active listening and personalized recommendations
- Conduct product demonstrations to educate customers on various cannabis products, including edibles, concentrates, flowers, and accessories
- Assist customers with product selection based on their preferences and needs, upselling where appropriate to enhance their experience
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions, cash handling, and inventory management
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked, organized, and appealing at all times
- Perform stock replenishment tasks, including stocking shelves and managing inventory levels using retail math skills
- Uphold phone etiquette standards when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Ensure compliance with all legal regulations and store policies related to cannabis sales and age restrictions
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience, preferably in grocery stores or specialty retail environments
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Experience conducting product demos or educational sessions to enhance customer engagement
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain product features clearly and confidently
- Basic math skills for retail math calculations such as change-making and inventory counts
- Knowledge of customer service best practices and phone etiquette in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Dutchie and METRC
