Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Mill-Turn CNC Programmer to take ownership of programming and process development for our Mazak INTEGREX 300SY with MAZATROL Matrix control.
This is a key technical position for an experienced programmer who enjoys solving challenging machining problems, developing efficient manufacturing processes, and working closely with machinists to produce high-quality parts.
This position is centered around offline CAM programming using Mastercam and EIA/ISO G-code. This is not a Mazatrol conversational programming position.
The programmer we are looking for must have recent, first-hand experience programming Matrix-era Mazak INTEGREX multitasking machines using Mastercam. The ideal candidate will be capable of taking apart from engineering data through a proven, production-ready machining process while continuously improving quality, efficiency, and cycle time. You will work with engineering, manufacturing, and shop personnel to develop robust machining processes for complex precision components.
This person must take pride in developing efficient, reliable machining processes, not simply generating toolpaths. The successful candidate will also have the confidence and experience to own projects from programming through production and continuously seek opportunities to improve quality, throughput, and manufacturing performance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop complete production-ready CNC programs using Mastercam.
- Generate, verify, and optimize EIA/ISO G-code for the Mazak INTEGREX 300SY.
- Lead machine prove-outs and establish efficient, repeatable manufacturing processes.
- Select tooling, workholding, machining strategies, and cutting parameters.
- Collaborate with machinists to improve setup efficiency, productivity, and process reliability.
- Troubleshoot programming and machining issues while implementing effective long-term solutions.
- Maintain program documentation, revision control, setup documentation, and machining standards.
- Support new product introduction and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of recent, hands-on experience programming Mazak INTEGREX multitasking machines (Matrix-era or equivalent).
- Expert-level proficiency with Mastercam.
- Strong working knowledge of EIA/ISO G-code programming, including manual editing and optimization.
- Demonstrated experience programming complex mill-turn components utilizing:
- B-axis milling
- Y-axis machining
- Live tooling
- Sub-spindle operations and part transfers
- Multi-axis contouring
- Complex turning and milling cycles
- Experience proving out new programs on the machine and optimizing production processes.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, 3D CAD models, and GD&T.
- Strong understanding of tooling selection, workholding, cutting parameters, machining strategy, and process optimization.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- Aerospace and/or defense manufacturing experience.
- Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems.
- Experience programming from customer-supplied CAD models.
- Fixture design and process development experience.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on reducing cycle time while maintaining quality and repeatability.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications
- Hourly or salaried position available
- First-shift schedule
- Stable, long-term career opportunity
- Challenging work with advanced multitasking CNC equipment
- Opportunity to make a direct impact on manufacturing excellence
Please Note
This position requires recent, hands-on experience programming Matrix-era Mazak INTEGREX multitasking machines using Mastercam and EIA/ISO G-code.
Candidates whose primary experience is limited to Mazatrol conversational programming or who do not have significant experience programming multitasking mill-turn equipment with Mastercam will not meet the requirements for this position.
If you're an experienced mill-turn programmer who enjoys developing world-class machining processes and takes pride in solving complex manufacturing challenges, we encourage you to apply.
