Job Description
Children's Dental Center is seeking a full-time Scheduling Coordinator to be part of our amazing team! This role is a critical part of our practice and will work in a dedicated call-center area on the top floor of our office in central Sioux Falls.

Our goal at Children's Dental Center is to provide a fun environment where children can have a positive dental experience while providing top-quality dental care. We are seeking dependable, fun, hard-working, proactive team players to join our practice. If you are a compassionate, detail-oriented person committed to excellent patient care who enjoys working with children, we would love to meet you!

Office Hours:

· Monday: 7am – 5pm

· Tuesday: 7am – 5pm

· Wednesday: 7am – 1:30pm

· Thursday: 7am – 5pm

· Friday: 7am – 12pm

Responsibilities:

· Answer incoming phone calls and schedule patients for dental treatment.

· Triage and transfer phone calls as necessary.

· Make outgoing phone calls to confirm patient appointments.

· Update necessary documentation in patients’ charts.

· Monitor the shared office email and respond to inquiries.

· Communicate with external dental offices and handle patient referrals to our practice.

· Additional duties as needed such as following up with patients, transferring records, and other necessary tasks related to scheduling.

Requirements:

· Preferred at least 1 year of experience in a dental office setting.

· Must communicate effectively and demonstrate a passion for customer service.

· Must have a positive, upbeat attitude and display a commitment to helping teammates.

· Compassionate and caring attitude toward patients and parents.

· Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

· Experience with electronic health records/patient management systems preferred.

· Must arrive on time and adhere to the attendance policy.
