About Tiger Century Aircraft

Tiger Century Aircraft (TCA) is a military aircraft design and modification company based in Tehachapi, California, with decades of experience upgrading F-5 and T-38 aircraft. We are a small, fast-moving team of veteran engineers, and we're growing to support new U.S. Government programs and commercial test work.

The Role

This is two jobs braided into one, and both matter. You'll be the organizational backbone for our President and senior team — calendars, travel, correspondence, documents, the daily running of the office. And working alongside our engineering staff, you'll provide the administrative backbone for the compliance frameworks a modern defense contractor lives inside: our AS9100/ISO 9001 quality management system and our CMMC cybersecurity requirements.

To be clear about what this role is and isn't: our quality and cybersecurity systems are established, and our engineers own the technical content. You are not expected to arrive as a quality auditor or a cybersecurity specialist. What we need is someone who can take those established systems and administer them well — keep the documentation current, keep the records straight, keep the deadlines from slipping, and keep the engineers on track with what the standards require of them. If you are the kind of person who is genuinely good at systems, records, and follow-through, we will support you with training, outside auditors, consultants, and IT partners.

Executive support

Manage calendars, travel, meetings, and correspondence for the President and senior staff
Prepare, format, and proofread documents, reports, and proposals
Maintain company records, filing systems, and document control
Handle phones, visitors, shipping/receiving coordination, and office supplies
Assist with bookkeeping support tasks (timesheets, expense reports, invoice tracking)
Coordinate with vendors, customers, and partner companies

Quality system administration (AS9100 / ISO 9001)

Working with our engineering staff, who own the technical content:

Administer and maintain the company's established AS9100/ISO 9001 quality management system
Run quality system document control: procedures, work instructions, forms, and revision history
Maintain records required by the standard — training records, calibration, supplier approvals, nonconformances, corrective actions
Schedule and support internal audits, management reviews, and third-party registrar audits
Track corrective and preventive actions to closure and keep management informed of status
Serve as the day-to-day administrative point of contact for auditors, registrars, and quality consultants

Compliance administration (CMMC & government contracts)

Provide administrative control and oversight of the company's established CMMC cybersecurity compliance program, working with leadership, our engineers, and our IT/managed service provider
Maintain the compliance documentation set — System Security Plan, policies, Plans of Action & Milestones, evidence files
Track assessment deadlines, annual affirmations, and SPRS submissions
Support government contract administration: deliverable tracking, deadlines, required filings and reporting
Help maintain ITAR/export control recordkeeping and access procedures

Required Qualifications

3+ years of administrative, executive assistant, office management, or compliance administration experience
Demonstrated ability to administer a documented process or records system and keep it current — this is the heart of the job
Comfort working alongside technical staff and holding them to documentation deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication; strong proofreading skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Highly organized, discreet, and dependable — comfortable handling sensitive and controlled information
Ability to work full-time, on-site in Tehachapi, CA
U.S. citizenship or U.S. person status (required due to ITAR-controlled environment)

Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality management systems in an aerospace or manufacturing setting
Experience supporting an AS9100 certification, recertification, or surveillance audit
Familiarity with CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, DFARS cybersecurity clauses, or similar compliance frameworks
Internal auditor training or certification (AS9100/ISO 9001)
Experience in an aerospace, defense, or other government contracting environment
Familiarity with government contract administration or DCAA-compliant timekeeping
Notary public commission
