Full Job Description

Overview
We are on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Kitchen Lead to join our vibrant culinary team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and has a knack for managing kitchen operations with enthusiasm and precision. As a Kitchen Lead, you'll be at the forefront of food preparation, staff supervision, and ensuring our kitchen runs smoothly while delivering top-notch dining experiences. If you love cooking, leading teams, and creating memorable meals, this is your chance to shine!

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Supervise kitchen staff ensuring that all stations are preparing, creating, and utilizing Altomonte’s authentic food preparation, following recipe and working in a efficient timely manner.

2. Work along side catering team to help ensure orders are being made in a timely and efficient manner and up to Atomonte’s quality and standards.

3. Ordering, supplies, dry goods and perishables.

4. Overseeing shrink, expiration and rotating of products.

5. Maintaining sanitation and safety standards in all kitchen areas.

6. Has a “hands on” role with all kitchen production during busy/heavy times.

7. Willing and able to take directives from management and owners.

8. Oversee kitchen staff scheduling.

9. Overseeing kitchen labor- breaks, time off and lunches.

10. Work with store departments to help utilize expiring product before it becomes a loss and making sure product is getting on to the store floor before it becomes a loss.

11. Oversee and ensure that the Fit Italian to go case is stocked full and product is fresh.

12. Help with overseeing and participating in Monday night dinner, prepared food case, grab n go, hot bar and soup production.

13. Arrives at workstation on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work; works all schedule shift and attends required trainings and meetings.

14. Provides 5-star excellent customer service, addresses the needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques, answers phones and pages promptly and courteously.

15. Maintains or ensures the maintenance of a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment; maintains equipment in accordance with Altomontes cleanliness and safety standards.

16. Performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned; ensures accuracy of signs and pricing.

17. Immediately reports safety hazards and violations.

18. Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.

19. Must have the ability to follow recipes

Qualifications

· Strong to excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.

· Ability to meet customer service expectations and standards in all interactions with customers, vendors, and Team Members.

· Ability to follow directions and procedures, effective time management and organization skills.

· Passion for Italian and Mediterranean foods and mission of Altomontes.

· Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.

· Understanding of and compliance with Altomontes quality goals.

Experience

· 5+ years of culinary supervisor experience
