Full Job Description

Assistant Manager (Part-Time)

Telluride Storage is looking for a dependable, year-round Assistant Manager to join our team. This is a meaningful part-time position for someone who enjoys responsibility, works well independently, takes pride in providing outstanding customer service, and is highly proficient with computers.

Schedule

Every Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Additional scheduled weekday hours available throughout the year
Year-round position

Compensation

$28–32 per hour DOE

Primary Responsibilities

As Assistant Manager, you’ll help oversee the daily operations of Telluride’s premier self-storage facilities while providing an exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities include:

Deliver outstanding customer service in person, by phone, and by email
Rent storage units and assist customers with move-ins and move-outs
Answer customer account questions and process payments
Receive, distribute, inspect and document customer package deliveries, including accepting freight shipments
Help manage delinquent accounts and collections
Perform daily property walk-throughs to ensure the facility remains clean, secure, and professional
Monitor facility security systems
Maintain the office, restrooms, and exterior grounds
Perform light maintenance and prepare vacated units for new customers
Complete daily opening and closing procedures
Maintain accurate customer records using our management software
Assist the Facility Manager with daily operations and assume management responsibilities when needed

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who:

Is dependable, organized, and self-motivated
Enjoys working independently
Has exceptional customer service and communication skills
Is highly proficient with computers and comfortable learning new software
Has experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Has strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Is confident making decisions and solving problems independently
Takes pride in maintaining a clean, professional workplace

Requirements

Valid driver’s license
Ability to pass a background check
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Comfortable performing light maintenance and cleaning
Able to remain active throughout the workday, including standing, walking, sweeping, and general property upkeep
Must be dependable and available for occasional additional scheduled weekday coverage with advance notice.
