Job Overview
Must be 18 years or older to Join our dedicated team as a Kennel Attendant on the Night Shift, where your passion for animal care and exceptional customer service will shine. In this vital role, you will ensure the well-being, safety, and comfort of our furry guests during overnight hours. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a calm, clean, and caring environment for animals in our facility. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of pets while honing your skills in animal handling, pet grooming, and basic veterinary care.

Responsibilities

Provide attentive care to animals overnight, including feeding, administering medications, and monitoring health status
Perform thorough animal handling and restraint to ensure safety for both pets and staff
Maintain cleanliness of kennels, bedding, and common areas to promote a hygienic environment
Assist with pet grooming tasks such as brushing or bathing as needed
Observe animals closely for signs of distress or illness and report findings promptly to veterinary staff
Support pet sitting duties by engaging animals in enrichment activities and providing comfort during their stay
Handle heavy lifting when moving supplies or cleaning equipment to ensure safety standards are met

Skills

Strong animal handling and restraint skills with experience in dog training or veterinary settings
Knowledge of pet grooming techniques and basic veterinary procedures
Prior veterinary technician or assistant experience is highly desirable
Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during daily tasks
Familiarity with pet care routines including feeding, medication administration, and hygiene practices
Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude toward animal welfare
