Executive Chef

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday–Friday | Morning Shift

Pay: $35.00–$45.00 per hour (Based on Experience)

Position Summary

The Executive Chef is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations within our high-volume production facility. This leadership role requires exceptional organizational skills, culinary expertise, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest standards of quality, consistency, food safety, and efficiency.

The ideal candidate is an experienced culinary leader who thrives under pressure, inspires others, and is committed to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage all daily kitchen operations in a high-volume production environment.
Oversee the preparation and presentation of more than 30,000 meals weekly while maintaining consistency and quality.
Recruit, train, coach, and develop kitchen staff to build a strong, high-performing team.
Ensure recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards are consistently followed.
Maintain strict compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
Monitor food quality, freshness, and inventory to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
Manage food costs, labor costs, and kitchen productivity to achieve company goals.
Develop production schedules and ensure timely completion of daily meal preparation.
Oversee ordering, receiving, inventory control, and vendor relationships.
Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and operating safely.
Create and maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.
Collaborate with company leadership on menu development, seasonal offerings, and process improvements.
Resolve operational challenges quickly while maintaining quality and production standards.
Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented culture.

Qualifications

8+ years of culinary leadership experience, including Executive Chef or Senior Executive Sous Chef experience.
Experience managing high-volume food production, commissary, meal prep, catering, or large-scale restaurant kitchens.
Proven leadership experience managing and motivating large kitchen teams.
Strong understanding of food costing, labor management, inventory control, and production planning.
Extensive knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.
Flexible, dependable, and results-driven.
