Job description: We are a growing practice looking to hire an additional front office team member. This position provides growth and leadership opportunities. The Front Office Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients and visitors in a dermatology practice. This role is crucial for providing exceptional customer service, managing administrative tasks, and ensuring a smooth flow of daily operations. The Front Office Receptionist will be responsible for greeting patients, handling appointment scheduling, processing insurance information, and performing various clerical duties to support the medical staff and enhance patient satisfaction. This position typically involves working in a clinical setting, with regular interaction with patients, healthcare providers, and office staff. The role requires a professional appearance and demeanor, as well as the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Front office duties are listed below but not limited to the following.

Front office duties:

· Patient reception and greeting (Welcome patients, ensure a friendly and professional demeanor, verify patient info and update records as needed)

· Appointment scheduling (Schedule, Reschedule and Cancel appointments, manage appointment reminders/confirmations, coordinate with staff to optimize scheduling)

· Check in and check out (Collect necessary documentation, verify insurance coverage & eligibility, cash handling, billing inquiries, schedule appointments)

· Medical Records management (Maintain and update patient records, ensure compliance with privacy laws e.g. HIPAA, Handle records request)

· Insurance verification and billing (Verify insurance info and eligibility, process claims and denials, assist with billing and payment collection)

· Phone and email management (Answer incoming calls, emails and faxes, manage Todo’s)

· Administrative support (Chart prepping, coordinate with medical staff to ensure a smooth patient flow, assist management ordering office supplies)

· Patient education and communication (Provide patients info, education materials, costs, copays and insurance benefit info)

· Compliance and safety (Ensure adherence to office polices and procedures, maintain a clean and organized front office area, follow safety and infection control protocols)

· Data entry and reporting (Enter and update patient info in EMR/HER, generate reports)

· Customer service (Provide high quality care, address patient complaints and concerns professionally

· Team coordination (Collaborate with office staff and healthcare providers, participate in office meetings, training)

Experience & Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in healthcare administration is a plus.
Previous experience in a medical office or similar customer service role (1+ year) **Dermatology experience is preferred**
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in computer systems and medical software. **EZ DERM EXPERIENCE PREFERRED**
Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of basic Dermatology and Medical terminology, as well as insurance processes is advantageous.

Base Pay:

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour starting **BASED ON EXPERIENCE**

Schedule:

Full Time- 40 hours per week, (4 DAYS A WEEK) 10-hour shifts, Monday- Thursday

Location:

8405 E. Baseline RD Mesa, Arizona 85209 (We do have a remote location which may require travel. 750 S. Ironwood Dr. Apache Junction, AZ 85120, though we will still meet at 7:00AM in Mesa and carpool together if needed)
