Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Outpatient Clinical Director to lead and oversee our outpatient behavioral health services. In this pivotal role, you will coordinate clinical operations, supervise multidisciplinary teams, and ensure the delivery of high-quality mental health and behavioral care. Your leadership will foster a collaborative environment that promotes innovative treatment approaches, patient-centered care, and compliance with all regulatory standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on individuals and families through comprehensive outpatient services.

Duties

Provide clinical supervision and leadership to licensed clinicians, therapists, case managers, and support staff to ensure effective service delivery.
Oversee patient assessments, intake procedures, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment planning for diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults.
Manage clinical workflows within electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring accurate documentation of medical records, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Develop and implement evidence-based treatment programs utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and motivational interviewing.
Coordinate group therapy sessions, family counseling, and child & family counseling to support holistic recovery efforts.
Handle crisis management and crisis intervention strategies to ensure patient safety during emergencies or acute episodes.
Collaborate with community agencies and families to facilitate integrated care plans for individuals with co-occurring disorders or neurodevelopmental conditions such as autism or developmental disabilities.
Lead clinical research initiatives and data collection efforts to improve program outcomes and contribute to ongoing quality improvement projects.

Requirements

Master’s degree or higher in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related mental health field; licensure required (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPC).
Proven experience working with children, adolescents, and individuals with mental health conditions or disabilities.
Demonstrated expertise in clinical supervision, team management, and program development within outpatient settings.
Strong knowledge of mental health counseling techniques including CBT, behavioral therapy, addiction counseling, CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), ICD-10/ICD-9 coding systems for diagnostic evaluation.
Extensive experience working with individuals with substance use disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD care needs, and co-occurring disorders.
Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) / electronic medical records (EMR) management systems; familiarity with medical terminology and medical documentation standards.
Excellent patient assessment skills combined with crisis intervention capabilities; ability to manage complex cases involving diverse cultural backgrounds.
Strong communication skills for client engagement and collaboration with families; experience working within HIPAA guidelines is essential.
Prior experience in hospital or community-based mental health settings is preferred; supervisory experience is highly valued.
