Full Job Description

Valley Rain Construction, located in Tempe, AZ. is an award-winning builder of horizontal public beautification projects.

This key position is responsible for cost estimating of projects from $100,000 to $30,000,000 in size. Estimates will be for final bid/GMP and for conceptual budget costs during design.
Experience in self-performed horizontal trades is required.
Must have strong technical skills in construction software applications. Software includes 3D data preparation, digital takeoff, customized data base estimating, spreadsheet and cloud based applications.
Must have technical knowledge of a broad range of construction trades with an emphasis on horizontal construction, but also a knowledge of vertical building.
Interpersonal and management skills will be required to work within a team and to handle multiple projects with competing deadlines.
Must have excellent written and oral presentation skills with the ability to present before large professional groups.
Five years of stable employment in site, civil and park construction estimating is required.
Experience in Design-Build, CMAR and JOC projects will receive higher consideration.
Clean driving and safety records required.
Must have a minimum of 2 years of completed college in a construction-related degree. A four year degree is preferred.
