At Wilson Engineers you will be a key driver of our growth, taking complete ownership of the recruitment process for niche, hard-to-fill requisitions in the AEC space. In this strategic, full lifecycle role, you will partner closely with hiring leaders to source, engage, and secure top talent while continuously enhancing our talent acquisition processes. You’ll also be responsible for providing regular, detailed reporting updates to ensure all hiring parties are well-informed throughout the recruitment journey.

As a high-growth firm, Wilson Engineers offers the opportunity to work on impactful and technically challenging projects alongside a talented and passionate team. We are currently seeking an experienced Recruiter to join our Tempe, Arizona office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

End-to-End Recruitment Ownership: Lead the full-cycle recruitment process—from intake calls through offer negotiation—for challenging roles, ensuring a seamless candidate experience and strategic alignment with hiring managers’ needs.
Strategic Sourcing & Talent Market Expertise: Develop and execute innovative sourcing strategies to identify and engage top talent within the AEC industry and adjacent markets. Leverage advanced sourcing techniques, market intelligence, talent mapping, ATS/CRM systems, LinkedIn, social platforms, professional networks, and proactive pipeline-building strategies to address immediate and future hiring needs.
Executive Stakeholder Partnership & Influence: Serve as a trusted talent advisor to senior leaders and hiring managers, building strong partnerships to align recruitment strategies with business priorities. Effectively manage expectations, challenge assumptions, influence hiring decisions, and drive process improvements through data-driven insights and market expertise.
Process Enhancements: Continuously evaluate recruiting processes, tools, and practices to identify opportunities for greater efficiency, scalability, and quality of hire. Lead the implementation of innovative recruiting solutions that create sustainable, long-term impact across the organization.
Talent Advisory: Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, offering market insights, recruitment best practices, and strategic recommendations to optimize talent acquisition efforts.
Employer Brand & Talent Community Development: Strengthen Wilson Engineers’ employer brand by representing the organization at industry events, professional associations, career fairs, and networking opportunities while cultivating long-term talent communities and strategic pipelines.

Requirements:

Experience: 5+ years of corporate or agency recruiting experience, with a strong preference for experience in the AEC industry or related fields.
Recruiting Expertise: Demonstrated success in full lifecycle recruiting, particularly in sourcing and placing candidates for hard-to-fill, niche roles.
Analytical & Reporting Skills: Ability to generate, interpret, and present detailed recruitment reports and metrics to multiple stakeholders.
Process Improvement: A proven track record of identifying process gaps and implementing effective enhancements in talent acquisition strategies.
Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with candidates and internal teams.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and other relevant recruiting tools.

Wilson Engineers, LLC is one of Arizona’s leading design and construction management firms specializing in the various engineering disciplines required for water, wastewater, reclaimed water, and electrical infrastructure. Since 1985, we have provided full-service engineering design and construction management services for nearly $1 billion dollars of construction projects within the State of Arizona alone. Our experience encompasses the full spectrum of civil works including: treatment facilities, supply and recharge wells, pump stations, pressure reducing valve stations, storage reservoirs, small and large diameter conveyance pipelines, and electrical and instrumentation infrastructure. We are also highly experienced in the latest water and wastewater technologies.
