Hourly Salary Range: $24.32- $35.86
The successful candidate’s placement in the salary range will depend upon previous experience in a similar role.

DESCRIPTION / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This position Provide Spanish interpretation services, simultaneous and consecutive court interpretation services of court proceedings, and sight translation of court and other related documents. To coordinate interpreter services to ensure adequate coverage and review and reconcile contract interpreter invoices for payment
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Interprets spoken words in the courtroom, pre-trial conferences, hirings, and trials into the appropriate language.
- Translates motions, filings, correspondence, and other court documents
- Assists with recruiting, hiring, and managing contracted interpreters
- Coordinate interpreter services to ensure adequate coverage
- Prepares and schedules assignments for interpreters
- Participate in workgroups and committees. Attend team meetings.
- May perform responsibilities of a similar nature and level as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
Two (2) years of experience of providing both English to Spanish and Spanish to English interpreting services in a court setting or directly related to the core functions of this position.
Candidates must have the minimum amount of work experience. Years of experience are based upon a full-time work schedule (2,080 hours per year). The sum of an applicant’s full-time and/or part-time qualifying work experience must meet or exceed the stated minimum qualification. Education will not substitute for the required work experience; however, related unpaid and/or volunteer work experience may be used as qualifying work experience.
Education:
High school diploma or GED.
Professional Licensure and/or Certifications:
- Tier 3 or higher Permanent Arizona Interpreter credential through the Arizona Court Interpreter Credentialing Program (ACICP), obtain within twenty-four (24) months of hire.
- Required to pass Spanish proficiency exam
