Full Job Description

Skin Care Specialists, PLLC has an opening for a full-time Front Desk Receptionist. Candidate must have exceptional customer service; great attention to detail; must have the ability to multi-task; and prior EMR experience, EMA/ModMed is a plus.

As a Medical Receptionist/Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations within the healthcare facility. Your attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the overall patient experience.

Daily responsibilities included but are not limited to; checking patients in and out; collecting all demographic information include insurance cards and driver’s license; as well as several other general office activities related to a medical practice. Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar for multiple providers and locations. Coordinate with medical staff to ensure efficient scheduling and minimize wait times. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients and other healthcare professionals. Verify patient insurance information and obtain necessary authorizations and referrals. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic medical system (EMA).
Assist with other front office tasks such as greeting patients, data entry, managing incoming and outgoing faxes.

Skills that will aid in the success of a front desk medical receptionist; Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with patients, healthcare professionals and peers. Proficiency in using office systems (EMA) for scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
Ability to work in fast-paced environment a must. Previous experience in a medical receptionist role is preferred. Knowledge of dermatology and/or medical terminology and procedures is a plus.
