Job Summary

The Senior Associate Vice President Enterprise Innovation and Success serves as a key member of the executive leadership team and provides visionary leadership to advance organizational innovation for student success, institutional effectiveness and workforce development across the college. This position is responsible for developing and implementing enterprise-wide initiatives that improve enrollment growth, student achievement, operational excellence, digital transformation, and enterprise-wide advancement. Provides executive oversight for institutional innovation efforts, leveraging emerging technologies including artificial intelligence (AI), to enhance organizational performance and student outcomes. This role leads the development and execution of innovative strategies that leverage technology, artificial intelligence, data analytics, process improvement and cross functional collaboration. The position serves as a catalyst for organizational change, champions a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, accountability, and data-informed decision-making.

Essential Functions

40% - Develop and implement enterprise innovation strategies that advance institutional goals, innovation, community engagement and student success. Lead cross-functional strategic initiatives that improve organizational performance, operational efficiency, and digital transformation. Foster collaboration across academic affairs, student affairs, information technology, finance, workforce development, institutional research, and external partners.

30% - Lead institutional change management efforts to support adoption of new technologies, processes, and service models. Utilize institutional data and predictive analytics to drive strategic planning and continuous improvement.

20% - Oversee innovation portfolios, pilot programs, and enterprise projects from concept through implementation and assessment . Build strategic partnerships with industry, community organizations, governmental agencies, and technology providers. Support grant development, resource optimization, and strategic investments that advance innovation and institutional sustainability.

10% - Represent the college in regional and national initiatives related to innovation, higher education, workforce development, and educational technology. Promote ethical, transparent, equitable, and human-centered AI practices.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications for Student Affairs or non-academic pathway: Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in education or field related to area of assignment and five (5) years of progressively responsible management and/or leadership experience in field of assignment that includes three (3) years of supervisory experience. Examples of student affairs academic support or non-academic pathway management/leadership experience includes: program management, project management, budget development and management related to programs or projects, staff supervision, policy development, administration, evaluation and compliance. Equivalency allowed for Non Academic areas.

OR

Minimum Qualifications for Academic pathway: Master's degree in a teaching field related to area(s) of assignment and five (5) years of experience in an academic leadership and/or supervisory role in higher education and three (3) years of teaching that includes curriculum/coursework development. Examples of academic leadership/supervisory experience includes: division/department chair, project management, policy development, administration, evaluation and compliance, committee leadership, program director, and shared governance. No equivalency.

Desired Qualifications

A. Doctoral degree in a relevant discipline.

B. Seven to ten years of progressively responsible executive or senior leadership experience in higher education, government, or a similarly complex organization.

C. Experience implementing digital transformation initiatives using AI automation and analytics.

D. Certification or formal training in project management, Lean, Six Sigma, change management, or AI governance.

E. Demonstrated success leading strategic initiatives, organizational transformation, innovation initiatives, and enterprise-wide projects.

F. Experience supporting online education, digital transformation, or technology-enabled student services.

Special Working Conditions

Work is performed in a professional office environment with frequent interaction with faculty, staff, community partners, and external stakeholders. Occasional evening and weekend work, as well as local and regional travel, may be required.
