- Discover customer needs and appropriately suggests product with every customer to enhance service and meet sales goals. Offers customer demonstrations and samples using brewing equipment.
- Review production sheets, planning charts, and recipes. Follows recipes appropriately. Prepares beverages to standards. Tests product prior to serving to determine if it is prepared properly.
- Safety and Sanitation - Follows safety rules at all times. Reports accidents and unsafe conditions to manager. Demonstrates good hand washing, proper use of FIFO, and assurance of proper food temperatures. Maintains all work areas clean, neat, and free of unnecessary items. Follows proper food handing and sanitation procedures as per local and federal regulation. Conducts daily, weekly, monthly cleaning and sanitation duties for the Department.
- Sets up the cafe before opening times for service. Ensures all closing procedures completed.
- Adheres to job conduct, dress, attendance, and in-service requirements.
- Assist and maintain presentation of hot and cold food items, along with appropriate stock levels. Maintains and records temperature of Hot and Cold Items as per policy. Monitors expiration dates.
- Communicates with coworkers and management to solve problems and improve quality and service. Handles customer complaints in a professional manner. Maintain continuous communication with other staff during peak business times.
- Ensure availability and quality presentation of food items during meal periods.
- Follows standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating, and storing products.
- In-Services - Attends all mandatory department meetings and in-services. Assists with on-the-job training of new employees.
- Performs all other duties as related and assigned by supervisor or management.
- Responsible for proper utilization of food and equipment to minimize waste and loss to the department.
- Strives to improve the daily work routine by discussing work simplification methods with manager. Assists with implementation.
