Full Job Description

TRC Talent Solutions has partnered with a leading North American manufacturer of wire, cable, and electrical solutions serving residential, commercial, industrial, and utility markets to identify a Plant Controller for their Carrollton, GA facility.

This is a fully onsite, contract-to-hire opportunity for a finance professional with a strong manufacturing background. The Plant Controller will play a critical role in overseeing plant financial operations, supporting manufacturing leadership, and providing the financial insights needed to drive operational and business performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the monthly financial close process for the plant, including preparation, review, and posting of journal entries.
Manage the annual budgeting process and support periodic forecasting activities.
Prepare and analyze monthly financial and management reports, including detailed variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods.
Perform and review account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Partner with plant operations and leadership teams to provide financial analysis and support key business decisions.
Monitor plant performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Support financial audits and assist with requests related to reporting and compliance initiatives.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to support continuous improvement efforts throughout the facility.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Manufacturing Finance: Experience in manufacturing accounting, plant finance, cost accounting, or plant controllership.
Financial Close: Strong experience managing month-end close activities, journal entries, and financial reporting.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Experience preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
Account Reconciliations: Experience performing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations; BlackLine experience preferred.
Excel Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis.
ERP Systems: Experience with ERP systems; SAP experience preferred.
Analytical Skills: Strong financial analysis, problem-solving, and decision-support capabilities.
Communication Skills: Ability to effectively partner with finance and operations leaders in a manufacturing environment.
