Job Title: PRN Therapist/ Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor
Reports To: Clinical Director
Position Overview:
As a PRN Therapist / Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor at our inpatient substance abuse treatment facility, your primary objective is to guide individuals toward achieving and maintaining sobriety. You will deliver individual, group, and family therapy, focusing on helping clients reach their highest potential in wellness and functionality. Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, you will develop comprehensive assessments and tailor therapeutic approaches that address the unique needs of each client struggling with substance abuse. Your expertise will play a crucial role in fostering recovery and supporting lasting change.
Job Functions:
Provide high quality, compassionate, and ethical counseling to clients as scheduled in individual, group, and family therapy settings.
Actively participate as a positive member of an interdisciplinary treatment team.
Complete treatment plan for each client in caseload and regularly update based on client progress.
Complete clinical assessments and documentation as necessary, including but not limited to, treatment plans, biopsychosocial assessments, concurrent reviews, discharge plans, etc.
Responsible for scheduling individual appointments as directed by the supervisor.
Minimal supervision regarding use of time.
Complete accurate clinical documentation the same day as date of service.
Maintain good standing with the appropriate board and insurance entities.
Complete all recommended continuing education requirements.
Stay current with updated research and best practices.
Be aware of community referral sources and refer when necessary.
Secure client information per HIPAA standards.
Provides in-service training as needed.
Serves as a support member of the clinical team for client needs and client check-ins.
Assists with de-escalation and crisis interventions or other emergent situations.
Preferred to having some weekend availability.
Qualification Requirements:

Master’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage Family, Counseling or relative field, from an
accredited college or university or Associate in Mental Health/ Substance Abuse from accredited college or university.
Licensed in the State of Texas as a CPC, CPC Intern, CSW, CSW Intern, LADC, LADC intern, LCDC, LMSW, LMSW Intern, LCAPC, LCAPC Intern, CADC, CADC Intern, MFT, MFT Intern, LCSW, or LCSW Intern.
Two to three years of experience working in the behavioral health substance abuse field is preferred.
Strong computer skills required, experience with electronic medical records preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, their loved ones and professionals.
Ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret human service periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Strong assessment skills.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and analyze policies and procedures.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Working knowledge of twelve step programs of recovery.
Performs duty as Administrator on Call (AOC) as needed.
Responsive and available on call as needed.
Performs all other duties as directed by leadership.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret human service periodicals, professional journals, technical
procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and analyze
policies and procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups
of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Electronic Health Records;
Internet software; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
State of Texas Board of Behavioral Health examiners to license all qualified individuals via licensing procedure per Texas Revised Statute requirements. Virtue Recovery Center will verify licensure prior to employment beginning.

· Stand, walk and sit during assigned shift hours.
· Have the ability to manually handle patient belongings with gloved hands.

· Speak and have access to the special senses within normal limits (hear, taste,
smell, etc.) as it applies to patient care.
· Must be capable of lifting up to 20 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
