Furniture Consultant/Space Designer

Position Summary
We are looking for a talented, motivated, and customer-focused Furniture Designer / Workplace Design Consultant to join our team.
This position combines design, sales, project management, and client consulting. You will work directly with customers to understand their needs, develop furniture and space planning solutions, create drawings and presentations, prepare quotations and bids, and manage projects from initial consultation through final installation.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both creativity and relationship building and wants to see their designs come to life.
What You'll Do
- Meet with clients to understand project goals, space requirements, budgets, and timelines
- Develop furniture layouts, space plans, renderings, and design presentations
- Create quotations and bid responses that include furniture, installation, freight, and related project costs
- Guide customers through finish, fabric, and product selections
- Collaborate with architects, interior designers, contractors, and end users
- Conduct on-site visits for consultations, measurements, presentations, and project reviews
- Manage projects from concept through installation to ensure customer satisfaction
- Coordinate with manufacturers, installers, project coordinators, and internal team members
- Stay current on workplace, healthcare, educational, and commercial furniture trends
- Build and maintain strong client relationships that lead to repeat business and referrals
- Actively identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and develop new business

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Associate’s Degree
- Experience in commercial interior design, furniture design, space planning, architecture, or a related field
- Experience in sales, customer consulting, or project management
- Experience in the contract furniture industry
- Experience with CAD, CET, CAP, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software
