Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our organization’s financial planning, management, and reporting functions. The CFO will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s financial strategy, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and driving sustainable growth. This energetic leader will oversee all aspects of fiscal management, including budgeting, financial analysis, risk management, and investor relations. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in corporate finance, accounting standards such as GAAP and IFRS, and a proven track record of executive leadership within complex organizations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the company’s future while fostering a culture of financial excellence and innovation.

Duties

Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational goals to maximize profitability and growth.
Oversee all accounting functions including corporate accounting, governmental accounting, non-profit accounting, and cost management to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards such as ASC 606, IAS, and COSO.
Lead the preparation of detailed financial reports, statements, and forecasts; interpret financial data to inform strategic decision-making.
Manage risk analysis processes by identifying potential financial risks and developing mitigation strategies; ensure adherence to industry regulations and internal controls.
Direct treasury management activities including cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, investment strategies, and revenue cycle management.
Supervise the finance team’s operations in budgeting, expense management, payroll management, cost control, and financial software systems.
Lead negotiations for mergers & acquisitions (M&A), fundraising initiatives for business development, and strategic partnerships to expand organizational impact.
Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards; oversee regulatory reporting obligations at local, national, and international levels.
Develop financial projection models to support long-term planning; conduct market analysis to identify industry trends that influence financial strategies.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement in financial processes through innovative solutions and staff development initiatives.

Qualifications

Extensive experience in finance leadership roles such as finance directorship or CFO within diverse sectors including corporate or non-profit organizations.
Deep understanding of accounting principles such as GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), IAS (International Accounting Standards), and ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
Proven expertise in SOX compliance (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), risk management frameworks like COSO, and regulatory reporting requirements.
Strong background in mergers & acquisitions (M&A), business development funding strategies, and strategic planning processes.
Demonstrated ability to develop sophisticated financial models for forecasting analysis and scenario planning.
Excellent leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams; adept at strategic management and executive communication.
Proficiency in advanced financial software systems; strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial statements.
Exceptional negotiation skills complemented by a thorough understanding of industry-specific financial concepts such as profit & loss analysis, cost control, expense management, supply chain finance, taxation (tax accounting), and governmental accounting practices.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; advanced certifications such as CPA or CFA are highly desirable.
