Tax Senior

We are seeking an experienced Tax Senior to join our growing public accounting team. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with clients across a variety of industries, providing tax compliance, planning, and advisory services while developing professionally within a collaborative and client-focused environment.

Position Overview
The Tax Senior will be responsible for preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, managing client engagements, mentoring staff, and serving as a trusted advisor to clients. This position requires strong technical tax knowledge, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, trusts, and nonprofit organizations.
Conduct tax research and provide recommendations on complex tax matters.
Identify tax-saving opportunities and planning strategies for clients.
Manage multiple client engagements while meeting deadlines and budget expectations.
Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
Mentor and train junior staff members, reviewing work and providing guidance.
Assist with tax notices, audits, and other client tax matters.
Stay current on tax legislation and industry developments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
CPA license preferred or actively pursuing certification.
3+ years of public accounting tax experience.
Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
Experience with individual, business, and partnership taxation.
Proficiency with tax preparation and accounting software.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
