Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dynamic team at Riverside Medical Group. The RN will play a crucial role in supporting the primary care physicians and ensuring the smooth operation of clinical procedures. This position involves direct patient care, coordinating with healthcare providers, and delivering exceptional care in line with our practice’s values.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer direct patient care, including taking vital signs, administering vaccinations, performing assessments, and recording health information.

Perform telephone triage and follow up phone calls after hospitalizations.

Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures.

Educate patients and their families on healthcare plans, medication administration, and lifestyle modifications.

Perform routine diagnostic tests such as EKG, A1C, urinalysis, HCG, throat/nasal swab and screening for diabetic peripheral neuropathy and peripheral vascular disease.

Manage patient records, ensuring documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.

Monitor and manage patient conditions, ensuring any changes are communicated to the physician promptly.

Maintain compliance with medical protocols, safety standards, and infection control guidelines.

Provide compassionate support to patients, fostering a positive healthcare experience.

Qualifications:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Massachusetts.

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.

At least 1-2 years of experience in a primary care office setting (preferred but not required).

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to educate and counsel patients effectively.

Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Experience in EPIC ideal.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality care.

CPR/BLS certification required.
