We are seeking an experienced traveling superintendent to join our client, an award-winning designer, fabricator, and installer of dynamic feature stairs and railing packages. Experience with ornamental metals, steel, and glazing is required.
The Site Superintendent will provide onsite leadership and manage all field operations to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role includes directing installation subcontractors, planning installation sequences, obtaining field dimensions, and maintaining a consistent onsite presence throughout the project lifecycle. The Superintendent will serve as the primary company representative onsite, acting as the liaison between the client, general contractor, installers, vendors, and subcontractors.
Responsibilities also include overseeing all site safety practices, including daily JHA reporting, conducting routine safety inspections, ensuring compliance with site safety programs, and enforcing proper PPE requirements. The Superintendent will monitor project schedules, maintain progress against milestones, and prepare and manage two-week look-ahead schedules to support proactive project coordination.
In addition, the Site Superintendent must have a thorough understanding of the project scope and the responsibilities of each vendor and subcontractor, while holding all parties accountable to the highest standards of workmanship and quality control. This individual will also ensure all existing finishes are properly protected from damage and that daily housekeeping and site cleanliness are consistently maintained at a satisfactory level.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated experience managing projects involving ornamental metals, structural steel, and glazing systems.
- Proven leadership ability to effectively direct, coordinate, and oversee subcontracted installation crews.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide clear project updates and coordinate effectively with onsite client project managers and superintendents.
Required Education/Experience
- High School Diploma
- 5 years industry experience minimum
Required Certifications/Licenses
- OSHA 30 (or obtain within six months of employment)
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration when on a job site or in the shop, and may be exposed to shop conditions, ongoing construction and various weather conditions The noise level in the work environment can be loud.Physical Demands

The employee must also lift and move up to 50 pounds. The employee is required to use one or two hands to grasp, move, or assemble objects. Use muscles to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Personal Protective Equipment Utilize PP&E in compliance with OSHA standard and per site specific safety programs.Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position (40 hours). Workdays are Monday through Friday, work times are dependent on department, projects, and supervisor's request and approval. Off-hours work is occasionally required to adhere to site restrictions and project schedule.
This position requires extensive travel throughout the United States, being located 6-24 months at a time on each project before moving on. The position can travel up to 100% of the year.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
