Staff Pharmacist

Location: Texarkana, Texas
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Daytime Hours with Occasional Weekend Call

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Pharmacist to join our growing team. This position is very similar to the Retail setting, with stable hours and a stable schedule that make it easy to plan a good work life balance.

Position: Full-Time Staff Pharmacy in Texarkana, Texas. T

This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist who enjoys patient-focused care, teamwork, and the specialized nature of a caring for others.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday–Friday
Regular hours will range from 8:00 AM–5:30 PM or 10:00 AM–6:00 PM, depending on scheduling needs
Occasional weekend daytime call
Weekend call is limited to daytime hours

Responsibilities

Review, verify, and dispense prescriptions accurately and safely.
Perform and oversee non-sterile compounding in accordance with applicable standards, policies, and procedures.
Ensure compounded preparations meet established quality and accuracy requirements.
Provide medication counseling and education to patients and caregivers.
Communicate with prescribers regarding prescriptions, formulations, dosing, and patient-specific needs.
Monitor patient medication therapy and identify potential drug interactions, contraindications, or other concerns.
Maintain accurate prescription, compounding, and patient documentation.
Follow all applicable federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations.
Maintain compliance with pharmacy policies, procedures, and applicable compounding standards.
Work collaboratively with pharmacy technicians and other members of the pharmacy team.
Assist with daily pharmacy operations as needed.
Participate in the pharmacy's occasional weekend daytime call rotation.

Qualifications

Pharm.D. or equivalent pharmacy degree from an accredited program.
Active Texas pharmacist license in good standing.
Licensed by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Non-sterile compounding experience strongly preferred.
Previous compounding pharmacy experience is a plus.
