Full Job Description

Clinical Director for Licensing – Outpatient Mental Health & Substance Use Disorder Clinic

We are opening a start-up outpatient mental health and substance use disorder clinics focused on providing compassionate, evidence-based care in a supportive and collaborative environment.

We are seeking a qualified Clinical Director to support the licensing and Joint commission process and to work as a contract employee and lead clinical operations once services begin in 3-4 months.

Responsibilities Pre-Opening:

Provide license and resume for licensing application submission.
Serve as the designated Clinical Director for regulatory purposes.
Assist leadership with compliance and program development.

Post-Opening

Design, implement, and evaluate clinical program including but not limited to; program curriculum, hiring, training, evaluating and overseeing clinical staff, provide clinical supervision and create and maintain staffing plan.
Manage a caseload of between 5-9 individual clients as well as run groups as needed.
Oversee Quality Assurance programming as outlined by the Policy and Procedures.
Oversee and conduct both group and individual therapy sessions.
Referents: Work collaboratively with all referents to ensure that the needs of the participants and referents are met.
Admissions: Responsible for reviewing client assessments and clinical decisions regarding admission to the program.
Client Continuations: Beginning at admission; discuss continuation with the primary therapist.
Discharge Planning: Oversee Case Managers and assist with Discharge Planning starting at admission.
Program Planning: Assign client to appropriate groups and/or clinical track. Identify the need for psychological testing, collateral services, special clinical needs, etc.
Family Program: Assess the family situation to determine what family therapy work is indicated, including ongoing family therapy sessions and/ or couple’s therapy.
Maintain appropriate documentation as required, including all notes in EMR.
Direct oversight on all clinical documentation. This role requires 5-8 hours per week of case auditing per week.
Crisis intervention as appropriate.
Lead weekly Treatment Team meetings.
Conduct daily Clinical meetings.
Conduct monthly clinical supervision meetings in which 20% of active cases are reviewed.
Provide mentorship and training to other clinical staff.
Provide in-service training to staff and/or trainee on mental health topics as needed.
Provide on-call support as part of on-call rotation.

Qualifications

Active Arkansas : LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Licensed Psychologist, or Licensed Psychological Examiner. ( if you hold a Texas licensure as well that is a plus!)
Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in mental health and/or substance use treatment.
Two years as a psychotherapist.
Ability to work collaboratively with co-workers at all levels of the organization.
Five years of behavioral health experience.
Ability to supervise interns.
Ability to demonstrate respect for cultural and lifestyle diversities of clients and staff.
Knowledge of current legal standards pertaining to professional practice, reporting requirements, and professional boundaries.
Strong knowledge of outpatient behavioral health regulations and clinical operations.

Preferred

KIPU experience is a plus!
Experience with Evidence-Based Practice Models.
SUD treatment experience preferred.
