We are an ever expanding team of professionals. Our expertise is in Pulmonary Critical Care and Sleep medicine. We take pride in being at the forefront of interventional Pulmonary medicine . Our patient population is vast and we see patients for asthma, COPD, allergic rhinitis, Pulmonary fibrosis, Pulmonary hypertension, ILD, Chronic cough , Alph 1 AT deficiency, Restrictive lung disease, Bronchiectasis, Recurrent pneumonia, Asbestosis, Neuromuscular disorders leading to poor airway clearance, Sleep apnea and all other spectrum of Pulmonary and Sleep disorders

Description

Job Title: Part-Time Medical Office Assistant

Location: Mckinney, TX

Company: Premier Pulmonary and Sleep

Flexible consistent Schedule:

Monday to Thursday 8am to 430pm Either Mckinney office

Fulltime Monday to Thursday 8-5

Friday 8-2

Daily 30 min unpaid lunch breaks

Weekday shifts only; No weekends or holidays required

Prior experience in allergy office, ENT office or pulmonary office is preferred.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Medical Office Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will assist with patient rooming, vital signs collection, and general clinical and administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations in our pulmonary and sleep medicine practice.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and room patients in a timely and professional manner
Measure and record vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and oxygen saturation
Prepare exam rooms and ensure cleanliness and readiness for patient visits
Assist providers with basic clinical tasks as needed
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the EMR system
Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff
Support front desk operations when needed (e.g., scheduling, answering phones)
Help with pulmonary function test and 6MWT (Training provided)
Skin allergy test and immunotherapy and sub cutaneous biologic injections (Training provided)
IM injections for steroids and Abx injections (Training provided)

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent, bachelor's degree preferred
Gap year students, nursing students or Premed students are welcome to apply but must be able to work 9am to 3pm for paid position
Volunteers are welcome to apply
Previous experience in a medical office or clinical setting preferred
Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
CPR certification preferred
