B2B Sales Representative – Consumer Products / Wholesale Channels

Fortune Products, Inc. is a growing consumer products company specializing in knife and tool sharpeners, knives, multi-tools, and related products. We sell practical, physical products into B2B channels serving Farm and Ranch, Hardware, Housewares, Restaurant Supply, Sporting Goods, Outdoor, Grocery, and Mass Retail markets.

Our customers include distributors, retailers, buying groups, and industrial supply channels. We are looking for a motivated entry-level sales professional who wants to build a career in consumer products sales and work closely with our Sales Manager to grow the business.

Role Overview

The B2B Sales Representative will support the Sales Manager in developing new customer opportunities, maintaining existing accounts, preparing sales materials, following up with prospects, supporting trade shows, and helping manage customer relationships across our wholesale and retail channels.

This is a great opportunity for someone with early sales experience, retail or merchandising experience, field service experience, or experience working with physical products who wants to grow into a stronger B2B sales role.

This is not a software or technology sales position. The ideal candidate is interested in selling consumer products to real-world business customers such as retailers, distributors, dealers, and commercial buyers.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Sales Manager in prospecting and developing new B2B customers across Farm and Ranch, Hardware, Housewares, Restaurant Supply, Sporting Goods, Outdoor, E-Commerce, and related channels.

Research potential customers, including wholesalers, distributors, independent retailers, buying groups, catalog accounts, e-commerce sellers, and big box retailers.

Assist with preparing customer presentations, product information, price lists, sales sheets, samples, and follow-up materials.

Make outbound calls and emails to prospective customers to introduce Fortune Products and qualify sales opportunities.

Maintain accurate notes, contacts, opportunities, and follow-up activity in the company CRM system.

Support existing customers by assisting with product questions, order follow-up, sample requests, pricing information, and general account communication.

Work with the Sales Manager to identify customer needs, product gaps, competitive activity, and potential growth opportunities.

Help monitor marketplace and online pricing activity to support brand integrity and pricing discipline.

Assist with trade shows, customer meetings, buying group events, distributor meetings, and showroom or product display preparation.

Gather customer feedback and communicate market insights to the Sales Manager and internal team.

Collaborate with operations, customer service, marketing, and management to help ensure timely follow-up and customer satisfaction.

Learn Fortune Products’ product lines, competitive advantages, customer channels, pricing structure, and sales process.

Ideal Candidate Background

We are especially interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas:

B2B sales
Retail sales or retail management
Field merchandising
Field service representative work
Hardware, farm and ranch, housewares, sporting goods, outdoor, grocery, or restaurant supply products
E-commerce account support
Distributor or wholesale customer service
Mass merchant or big box retail experience
Inside sales or customer support for physical products

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

1–2 years of sales, customer service, retail, merchandising, field service, or account support experience preferred.

Experience with consumer products, physical goods, retail, wholesale, distribution, or commercial supply channels is strongly preferred.

Comfortable making outbound calls, sending professional emails, and following up consistently with prospects and customers.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple follow-up tasks at once.

Comfortable learning product details and explaining product value to business customers.

Basic understanding of Microsoft Office, email, spreadsheets, and CRM systems.

Willingness to learn wholesale pricing, margins, MAP policies, promotions, and channel sales processes.

Ability to work full-time on-site in Leander, Texas.

Ability to travel approximately 25% as needed.

This position is designed as a development role for someone who wants to grow in B2B consumer products sales. As you gain experience, develop customer relationships, and demonstrate strong sales discipline, there may be opportunities to advance into roles such as Account Manager, Territory Sales Representative, Key Account Representative, or Channel Sales Manager.
