Full Job Description

The Regional Paramedic Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day operations including facilitation of internal communication between field staff and management, system status monitoring, facilitating short-term scheduling needs, equipment and supply coordination, as well as other operational support functions as assigned.

***Schedule: Part Time***

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Direct, monitor, communicate with and evaluate all field employees in his/her assigned area in coordination with the Director of Operations
Participate in onboarding orientation sessions for newly joined Basics and Paramedics.
Liaison with patients, public safety agencies, training institutions, hospital personnel, and other system users.
Ensure maintenance of quality field operations through daily contact, oversight, communication, and evaluation.
Prepare employee evaluations and field crew contact reports.
Ensure PCR s and other field paperwork is 100% reconciled daily in conjunction with the PCR processing.
Ensure 100% of operational response exceptions are brought to closure with appropriate action.
Cooperate with the Director of operations to facilitate proper operations.
Provide staff counseling and guidance and information regarding City Ambulance operations.
Promptly investigates incidents involving assigned units or personnel, including, filing of internal and external reports, and counseling staff.
Ensure maintenance of adequate levels of staffing, equipment and medical supplies for field units by cooperating with the logistics department.
Implement and enforce company policies and standards.
Maintain communication with departments.
Coordinates and update the Scheduler, on daily basis, on scheduling issues that arise.
Serve on committees with other departments to set policies and generate ideas.
Perform other related duties as required.
Maintain availability during disaster situations or mass casualty incidents and assist in any capacity needed.
Attend scheduled meetings as required.
Responsible for complying with all local, state, and federal employment laws and company policies. (i.e., Americans with Disability Act, Affirmative Action Plan, etc.)
Coordinate with Recruiting department on staffing needs.
Provide CPR, BLS, ALS, and PALS Classes.
Be professional, friendly, and cooperative with all employees.
Be available to communicate with crew and management 24/7.

Qualifications:

Ability to coordinate activities closely with others in stressful situations
Ability to effectively communicate Verbal / Written English
Ability to take direction and adapt to changing situations/job duties
Experience with quality assurance, scheduling, and coordination.
5 Years experience in Emergency Medical Services preferred
Active Paramedic Texas License
EMS Instructor Certification
Bachelor Degree in EMS or other related field

License/Certification:

Paramedic License (Required)

Ability to Commute:

Houston, TX 77015 (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

Houston, TX 77015: Relocate before starting work (Required)
