Full Job Description

Jibe Staffing has an immediate need for an experienced Payroll Tax Analyst to ensure accurate and timely payroll tax filings, maintain compliance across jurisdictions, and deliver exceptional support to both clients and internal teams. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented payroll tax professional who thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment and has strong expertise in multi-state payroll tax processing and compliance.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Process payroll tax deposits, filings, and payments accurately and on time across multiple jurisdictions.
Research and interpret federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
Investigate and resolve payroll tax discrepancies while partnering with clients and tax agencies.
Prepare and submit quarterly and annual payroll tax filings, including electronic and paper returns.
Monitor payroll tax law and regulatory updates and communicate impacts to clients and internal stakeholders.
Provide exceptional customer support to clients, agencies, and internal departments.
Collaborate cross-functionally to improve payroll tax workflows, automation, and overall client experience.
Manage multiple client accounts while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

5+ years of payroll tax processing and filing experience, preferably within a payroll service provider or Human Capital Management environment.
Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations.
Experience managing multi-client payroll tax operations in a deadline-driven environment.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Experience working across multiple payroll or tax systems simultaneously.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs, is a plus.
Experience with bulk tax filing systems such as EFTPS and state e-file portals is highly preferred.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
