Gap Year Medical Assistant

Location: Frisco, TX

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Gap Year Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in Frisco, TX. This position is ideal for Pre-PA, Pre-Nursing, or Pre-Med students who are taking a gap year and looking to gain valuable clinical experience before continuing their education.

Responsibilities

Assist healthcare providers with patient care and clinical tasks.
Prepare exam rooms and ensure all necessary supplies are stocked.
Take and record patient vital signs and medical histories.
Support patient flow and maintain a positive patient experience.
Perform administrative duties as needed, including scheduling and documentation.
Adhere to all healthcare regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.

Requirements

Currently a Pre-PA, Pre-Nursing, or Pre-Med student in their gap year.
Previous Medical Assistant (MA) experience is a significant plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Flexible availability; part-time or full-time considered, with full-time preferred.
