Full Job Description

The Law Firm of Daniela Labinoti, PC, a high-performance plaintiff’s personal-injury firm, is seeking a dedicated, experienced, and highly disciplined Investigator to join our litigation team. We represent victims of catastrophic injuries, wrongful death, trucking collisions, premises liability, and employment retaliation. Our cases move fast, demand excellence, and require an investigator who can work with precision and urgency.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Investigator will be responsible for evidence-gathering, scene inspections, witness interviews, record acquisition, client intake support, and fieldwork in high-value personal injury cases. The ideal candidate will have law enforcement experience and the ability to work 10–12 hour days when required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESCase Investigation

Conduct thorough scene investigations for motor-vehicle, trucking, and premises-liability cases
Take detailed photographs, videos, diagrams, and measurements
Retrieve and review surveillance videos, traffic-camera recordings, and bodycam footage
Obtain police reports, CAD/911 data, crash information, and supplemental materials
Locate and interview witnesses, take sworn statements, and prepare summaries
Assist attorneys with reconstructing timelines and identifying liability issues

Evidence Collection & Preservation

Collect and preserve physical evidence, vehicle-damage documentation, skid mark patterns, and debris-field data
Document lighting conditions, property defects, weather, and environmental hazards
Maintain organized digital evidence and upload files to CasePeer/Dropbox in real time

Client Interaction & Intake Support

Assist with new client intakes, including photographing injuries and property damage
Conduct initial client statements and help clients gather documentation
Communicate professionally and compassionately with injured clients

Fieldwork & Reporting

Travel to crash scenes, hospitals, residences, businesses, or rural locations as needed
Draft clear, well-organized investigation reports for attorney review
Work closely with attorneys and case managers to prepare files for demand, mediation, or trial

REQUIREMENTSMinimum Qualifications

Law Enforcement experience REQUIRED
Ability to work 10–12 hour days, including evenings/weekends when needed
Valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation
Strong photography, documentation, and interviewing skills
Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism
Tech-savvy and able to upload/organize files quickly
Highly reliable, disciplined, and detail-oriented

Preferred Qualifications

Personal injury investigative experience
Familiarity with Texas crash reports or FMCSA/trucking investigations
Bilingual (English/Spanish)

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

$18–$22 per hour, depending on experience
Overtime pay for hours worked beyond 40 each week.
