WHO WE ARE:
Mammoth Freighters just received FAA certification for the 777-200LRMF — one of the most productive, fuel-efficient long-range freighters in the world. We're a Boeing 777 Licensee converting passenger aircraft into freighters. This isn't concept work. It's a certified, active program, and we're growing the team responsible for keeping it moving.
JOB OVERVIEW:
This Senior Technical Analyst is responsible for planning, developing, revising, and maintaining complex technical documentation in support of engineering, maintenance, manufacturing, quality, and regulatory requirements. This position leads documentation projects and ensures all publications comply with company standards, customer requirements, and applicable industry regulations such as ATA, FAA, and OEM standards. Every change we make to the airplane has to end up in a maintenance procedure an operator's mechanic can follow — and getting there is an analytical problem before it is a writing problem, therefore this role requires strength in both analyzing and writing.
The Senior Technical Analyst reports directly to the Manager of Technical Publications.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ingest the source data: Engineering release – drawings, engineering orders, stress and systems reports, test results, supplier data, and component manuals. OEM bas manual content for the affected ATA chapters. Certification deliverables that constrain what you may say.
- Analyze the data: Determine exactly how the conversion changes the maintenance of the airplane: which ATA chapters and sections are affected, whether the OEM procedure still applies, is modified, or is replaced outright. Identify what new task the modification creates, what access and tooling they require, what the intervals should be and on what basis, and which existing procedures our changes have quietly invalidated. This is the judgement the role is hired for.
- Write it: Author the supplement content, procedures, and tasks – to ATA iSpec 2200 structure
- Validate on the airplane: Walk your procedures at the aircraft. Confirm access, clearances, tooling, and sequence are real.
- Maintain it: Own your content through revisions, temporary revisions, and effectivity changes as the configuration and the OEM baseline move underneath it.
- Develop, edit, and maintain technical publications including:
- Mammoth Freighters Cargo Conversion Manual Supplements
- Mammoth Freighters Supernumerary Manual Supplements
- AMM supplement procedures for the converted configuration — removal, installation, adjustment, test, and servicing.
- Instructions for Continued Airworthiness content under 14 CFR 25.1529 and Part 25 Appendix H, including Airworthiness Limitations Section tasks and their substantiation.
- Maintenance Planning Document supplement tasks and intervals.
- SRMS supplement content as the modification requires.
- Research data for conversion-unique parts — main deck cargo door, cargo handling system, rigid barrier, and the rest.
- Task cards and installation and modification instructions used on the conversion line.
- Service Bulletins, Service Letters, and Temporary Revisions after entry into service.
- Reading drawings, schematics, and stress data well enough to reach your own conclusion about what a procedure must contain — and knowing when the source data is insufficient and must be sent back.
- Assessing incoming OEM revisions, temporary revisions, and service bulletins against our configuration: what changed, whether our procedure is still correct, what has to be rewritten.
- Determining task intervals and inspection requirements from the substantiating analysis, and being able to explain the derivation to the FAA or an ODA unit member.
- Deciding when a warning or caution is required and writing it, so it is actually read.
- Judging when a graphic will do work that prose cannot and specifying it for illustration.

OEM DATA STEWARDSHIP
- Work within our Boeing data license terms — what may be reproduced, what must be referenced, and how proprietary markings are carried.
- Track the base manual revision level and outstanding Boeing temporary revisions your content depends on, so an OEM change cannot silently invalidate a published procedure.
- Keep effectivity correct at the MSN level; we convert airframe by airframe and effectivity is not a formality.
- Observe export control obligations on technical data.
REQUIRED JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- 6+ years producing maintenance or airworthiness data for transport-category aircraft.
- Demonstrated experience authoring ICA, AMM content, or maintenance program tasks for an STC or major alteration, including at least one set taken through FAA or ODA acceptance.
- Ability to work from raw engineering data — drawings, wiring diagrams, structural repair data, test reports.
- Working command of ATA iSpec 2200 and of how AMM, SRM, MPD and WDM relate to one another.
- Experience with structured authoring in a controlled environment (Arbortext, FrameMaker, or comparable).
PREFERRED JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prior passenger-to-freighter or other major structural modification program
- Boeing widebody experience, 777 specifically.
- A&P certificate, or hands-on maintenance background.
- BS in Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience as an ODA Unit Member or supporting one.
- Simplified Technical English (ASD-STE100) practice.
- Maintenance program development exposure.
- Working knowledge of aviation regulations and standards (e.g., FAA regulations, ATA specifications).
- Able to operate computer applications (Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, and FrameMaker).
