Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Title Escrow Officer to join our team. This role is essential in managing the escrow process for real estate transactions, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and providing exceptional service to clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mortgage servicing, loan processing, and financial services, with a solid understanding of FNMA guidelines, underwriting, and fair housing regulations. This position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment that values accuracy, integrity, and professionalism.

Duties

Manage the escrow process from opening to closing, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete
Review and analyze loan documentation including contracts, TILA disclosures, and credit reports
Coordinate with lenders, real estate agents, and clients to facilitate smooth transactions
Conduct credit analysis and verify borrower information in accordance with underwriting standards
Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations such as Fair Housing laws and mortgage servicing guidelines
Prepare and review escrow instructions, settlement statements, and closing disclosures
Perform basic math calculations accurately for loan amounts, escrow deposits, and other financial figures
Maintain detailed records of all escrow activities and ensure timely communication throughout the process
Assist in training new team members on escrow procedures and regulatory requirements

Skills

Strong knowledge of FNMA guidelines, underwriting processes, and loan origination procedures
Experience with mortgage servicing, loan processing, and credit analysis
Familiarity with TILA regulations, contracts, banking procedures, and fair housing laws
Proficiency in escrow management software and 10-key typing skills for data entry
Excellent math skills for accurate calculations related to loans and escrow accounts
Ability to interpret complex financial documents and legal contracts accurately
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure compliance and accuracy
Effective communication skills to coordinate with clients, lenders, and internal teams
Prior experience as a loan officer or in financial services is preferred but not required
