Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs
Hours: 36 hrs/wk
Start Date: Jul 13, 2026
Length: 13 weeks

Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Acute Dialysis position in Austin, TX, requiring at least 1 year of acute dialysis experience and proficiency with IHD, PD, and CRRT.

Details

13-week contract in a hospital dialysis unit serving multiple facilities within a health system
Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 12-hour shifts
Rotating weekend requirement
On-call requirement: one 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM shift per week and one Sunday every 6 weeks
Patient ratios: 2:1 in multi-room settings and 1:1 for bedside
Equipment used includes Tablo, Prismax, and Amia dialysis machines
EMR: Meditech
Navy scrubs required

Requirements

Active TX RN license or compact RN license (must be in hand at time of consideration)
Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
Minimum 1 year of recent acute dialysis RN experience
Experience with IHD, PD, and CRRT required
US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
One professional reference required
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible for this position
Permanent positions may be available on the unit following the travel assignment
