Day in the Life of an SAT/ACT Verbal (Reading/Writing) Tutor/Teacher

As an SAT/ACT Verbal Tutor/Teacher with Huntington Learning Center, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our students achieve SAT/ACT scores they are proud to submit to the colleges of their dreams.

Responsibilities include:

Student Instruction - we provide all the curriculum and support materials you need to help students be successful on SAT/ACT Verbal and beyond.
Record Keeping - we provide a template to record students' sessions and homework and require teachers to provide notes on each session to track progress and pitfalls.
Computer Skills - we provide Chromebooks along with hardcopy support for all teaching needs. However, teachers must record grades and notes using our computerized system.
Adaptability and Flexibility - teachers are required to be team players and help cover shifts when other teachers are out (sick, vacation, etc.). Student schedule changes and new student enrollments may happen with little notice.

Flexible hours

Instruction time Availability (Flexible)

Mon - Friday 4:30PM - 8:30PM
Saturday 10AM - 4PM

Additional information:

$19/hr.
paid every other Friday via direct deposit

attend teacher meetings (paid time)

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2.0 – 12.0 per week
